Finding the right shoes at any age isn’t just about comfort — it's about survival. If your feet, knees, hips, or back have ever begged for mercy halfway through a 12-hour shift, you know exactly what I mean.
Here are a few shoe picks I use or hear great things about:
Pro tip: Always have a backup pair ready. Even the best shoes need a break — just like we do. My go to shoes are crocs but they are not super supportive and don't last that long possibly because I am 250ish pounds. On the plus side they are cheap. To get around their downfall I keep a total of 3 pairs between what I'm wearing and 2 pairs in my locker. If you want to feel a slice of heaven always keep one pair in the break room freezer to put on when the time comes. Pro Tip 2: Keep your freezer shoes in a bag so some Karen isn't whining and crying about dirty shoes being in the freezer with the food.
